Introduction to Counselling – Level 2
This introductory course is aimed at anyone who is interested in learning more about what counselling is, and developing some basic counselling skills.
The course is accredited through Agored Cymru and is in two parts. Part One looks at the Egan model of counselling and ethical issues associated with practice. Part Two considers issues such as discrimination, sexual relationships and life experiences. Counselling skills will be integrated throughout both parts of the course.
Whilst this course does not qualify you to practise counselling, it will give you a good grounding in key counselling topics and basic counselling skills and will prepare you for further study at level three.
|Part One(6 credits)||Three workshops in Aberystwyth and tutorial time.

There are no formal requirements for this course however applicants will be invited to attend an informal interview prior to acceptance on the course. Participants may opt to take both Part One and Part Two or just Part One.
A non-refundable deposit of £100 will be required when participants enrol on the course following interview. Payment of the balance will be due four weeks prior to commencing the course. Any participant who enrols within these four weeks must pay the course fees in full.
